Spring Meeting Recap

GVSUG Chair Mike Molter greeted the 42 attendees at the Spring 2006 meeting with a warm welcome. After some brief announcements, Marla Miller was introduced as the emcee for meeting. Attendees then mingled during the ice-breaker, which was a SAS themed crossword puzzle where they needed to procure the clues to the puzzle from fellow users. Vincent DelGobbo of SAS Institute then delivered the keynote presentation “Moving Data and Analytical Results between SAS and Microsoft Office”. A brief intermission was followed by the industry-themed Networking Session. Nancy Farden made her presentation titled “Use of SAS/GRAPH to Illustrate PMPM, Average Utilization and Average Cost for Healthcare Services”. After the drawing for some door-prizes, Tips N’ Tricks presentations were made by Marla Miller, Gina Lau, Adam LaManna, Mike Molter, and Michael Tomb. After concluding the meeting, 17 members stayed for SAS N’ Suds at the hotel restaurant and bar.

Presentations from the meeting will be found in the Members Only section of the website in the very near future.

The presenters, sponsors, attendees, and organizers all deserve recognition for their contribution to another successful and informative meeting!
