  • Fall Meeting 2008 Update

    Dear GVSUG Members,

    Our Fall Meeting is only two weeks away! We’ll be getting together on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the RIT Inn and Conference Center (address after the jump). As you can see we have just updated our web site, so anyone planning to attend may either use the form on our Contact Page or email me directly at joseph_guido@urmc.rochester.edu.     New GVSUG Laptop

    Greetings members,

    I’m very pleased to announce the arrival of the GVSUG’s very own brand new presentation laptop. Thanks to some good comparison shopping and year end deals, I was able to obtain a well-loaded Dell Latitude D630 laptop with a 4 year warranty for just under $1000 before taxes. It came with Vista Business…sorry, but I am sure during these next four years that Microsoft will come out with a new, viable operating system. The base software is loaded, anti-virus protection in place, and SAS v9.2 has been installed so this means we can use it at our next meeting. The extra battery which Mike Tomb suggested will arrive in another week. (more…)

  • Fall Meeting 2008

    Attention GVSUG members, our Fall Meeting has been scheduled for November 18th, 2008 at the RIT Inn and Conference Center from 3:00-6:00pm (registration begins at 2:30pm). We are very please and honored to have Mr Mike Molter, former Chair of the GVSUG and Conference Chair for NESUG 2009 (Burlington, Vermont), as our keynote speaker. Stay tuned for further details.

    New GVSUG Web Site Launched

    Welcome one and all. If you can see this post then you are looking at the new version of the Genesee Valley SAS Users Group web site. We have changed hosting providers - many thanks to Laughing Squid for assistance with the migration process - and moved from Blogger over to a new content management system; WordPress. (more…)
