GVSUG Happy Hour
What: GVSUG Happy Hour
When: Thursday October 20, 2005 5:30 P.M.
Where: MacGregors Grill and Tap Room
300 Jefferson Road
Henrietta NY
As Chair Mike Molter has mentioned in previous e-mails, GVSUG will be organizing Happy Hours (for lack of a better name) periodically. These will be informal get-togethers that may focus on (but not limited to) a discussion on a predetermined SAS topic. They will also serve to as opportunity to get help from a colleague on that elusive solution to that challenging problem and to network with your fellow local SAS users.
The first of many Happy Hours will be centered around "How Can I Get More Involved with GVSUG?". As many of you already know, elections for positions on the Executive Committe will be held at the next general GVSUG meeting on Nov 9, 2005. If this is something you are considering being involved with, stop by and find out more about the responsibilites of EC members. Do you have a presentation idea for an upcoming meeting or need help identifying one? Would you like to contribute to the GVSUG website's 'Tips and Tricks' area? If you have any thoughts on how GVSUG can strengthen the local SAS users community, we would like to hear from you.
If you plan on attending, please send me an e-mail off-line as to be sure we locate you on Thursday. I hope to see many of you at MacGregors!
