This is a quick post to let everyone know that we will be holding the 2009 GVSUG Winter Social on Thursday, February 26th at the Tap & Mallet Pub (voted “Best New Restaurant” in City Newspaper’s ‘Best Of’ Awards for 2008).

I justed wanted to say that our Fall Meeting was a great hit, a definite smash!
Mike Molter gave a great keynote talk entitled “Tips and Tricks for Creating the Reports Your Clients Need to See”. He gave us some great tips on some of the lesser known features of PROC REPORT and ODS. Mike was the former chair of GVSUG and so it was wonderful to have him come back home and share with the group. Mike is currently a Principal Statistical Programmer with a company in North Carolina called INC. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m writing to announce the winners from the GVSUG Executive Board election held during our fall meeting last week. While the results are no surprise to those who were in attendance, this will serve as an update for members who could not be there. All candidates ran uncontested and, with the exception of some minor shuffling resulting from Adam LaManna’s departure, all incumbents were unanimously re-elected for the 2009 term.
